I’m a verbal identity designer, content strategist, and copywriter. Different folks define these things differently. This is what I do: If you’ve ever wondered who writes positioning statements; who creates mission and vision statements, voice and tone guidelines, value propositions, and brand stories; and who plans for, writes, and optimizes all the pages in a website—that’s me.
What’s your angle?
What makes me different from other writers? Aside from a name that looks like spilled Scrabble tiles, I’m an ardent champion of collaboration and transparency.
Writers tend to be a siloed bunch—which I get. But creative ego is toxic. Working together makes the work better.
No matter who I work with or what I write about, I’ll fight for cohesive creative and a memorable client and end-user experience.
I do not secretly long to teach pottery or run a food truck. I deeply love what I do and I bring that love to every project.
A few of my favorite (professional) things
- Collaborating with strategists, designers, and other writers
- Partnering with organizations that care about their brand
- The Oxford comma
- Hating on dumb AP style rules
Resume-y stuff
I’ve worked in digital content since 2004 and specifically in brand since 2018. I’m currently a Senior Brand and Content Strategist at a full-service digital agency.
I earned my B.A. in English from Cal State Long Beach (Go Beach!) and my M.A. in English from the University of Florida (Go Gators!).
Give me a holler if you’re interested in working together.
